The shapes, forms and colors I use are my visual vocabulary, they come from what I see in daily life while driving, looking, walking, dreaming. Painted walls, cracks in the side walk, a rusty door, sky and clouds, bright lights, plants, flowers, a dried leaf. There is no end, it’s a personal dictionary to which words are added as they come alive, to be used, explored and eventually discarded. 

The challenge of using different media, from pencil to paint to digital output, the choice of different surfaces, from paper to board to wood, and various sizes to best express a vision are a constant challenge I enjoy immensely. 

I am fascinated by the interplay of hard edged geometric shapes and amorphous forms found in nature, delighted by fortuitous technical accidents and encouraged by discoveries or interpretations by others.
